Carl Pope, President of the Sierra Club, discusses how Calera's process could replace most of he world's need for cement with the by-product of sequestering most of the worlds power plant emissions of CO2. California-based Calera Corporation, which specializes in converting carbon dioxide (CO2) from the burning of fossil fuels into building materials containing embodied carbon dioxide, is one of the many companies to have taken advantage of the USPTO's Green Technology Pillot Program.
