Song keeps running thru my head, won't leave. Heard it on American routes, and was suggested by studs turkel(? spelling) Glad to have found it here to hear it again.

First, thanks for the sound and information. Michael Medved plays this song periodically on his radio talk show. I'm not sure what you meant by "This was recorded electrically." Did you mean "electronically"? How else would you post this? The main problem is you set the gain too low when you recorded this "electrically," and so you may want to redo this as the recording is valuable but very hard to hear. ~Jan~

Jan, I'm pleased you enjoyed it, Thank you for watching. I did mean electrically recorded. The record was recorded via a microphone rather than acoustically. It is being played back on a purely mechanical Grafonola originally designed especially for these early electrically recorded recordings. Unfortunately, Grey Gull records are generally of poorer quality than most of their contemporaries to begin with.
