  • @31cify All the club needs is money. Everton is a masssive football institution but we are hobbled and impoverished. Moyes does fantastic work but with no money what can he do? I remember London in '95 after winning the final V Manure. The cup had already lost some of its lustre by then but still a great great day. Look at how the Toffee army totally outdid the manure and Chelski a couple of years ago. All we need is the team.

  • Andy Grey....still a cheating cock, and if we had Luther we would have won.....not that I'm bitter or anything.....UP THE HORNS

  • Yes, we've lost more FA Cup Finals than any other club, but in all honesty, it don't really matter, 'cos there's only one, EVER - TON. We've handled everything, the blues should never despair over anything, we've had our great times, they'll never lose their support, best club with the best history. As the sacred Brian Labone once said, one Evertonian's worth 20 Liverpudlians, this club's the best, the biggest and the best.

  • I remember watching this with my brother in my early teens. We were to young to go so me ma made a day of it in the house for us. Popcorn and cola and all that stuff. I'll never forget it. It was one of the best days of my life shared with my brother and the team that i loved, and still love. A magical time for every Evertonian.

  • That would have been a foul nowadays for the second.

  • A terrible record we have in finals , we should have won more than one FA cup in the 80`s nobody remembers the losers . Remember this well though ;)

    NSNO

  • @brianclough is that not the story of every season with Everton. they never seem to start until mid October.

  • Today much is made of the second goal but at the time virtually nothing was said. Shows howtimes change. You were allowed togo up with the keeper back then.

  • Watched this Final at Wembley. Amazing how Everton came from nowhere in December and be successful at season's end. Much credit should go to Andy Gray, a mid season signing, who sparked the Toffees to life.

They might have even won the title had they not started off badly.

  • COZ WE LOST
