This was the best Green Lantern issue of this event, so far, and a huge part of the reason was that Hal Jordan had to take a backseat to everyone else. I don't know if anyone else shares this opinion, but I've always felt that Hal (along with Barry) was the least interesting character of the storyline.

When reading the current issue of Green Lantern it struck me just how little I would be getting out the series is I wasn't reading Blackest Night or GLC.

Lots of people say Bendis's characters all have the same "personality" which hurts most comics he does and makes all his characters 1D. Johns is doing AMAZING with Blackest Night, all his characters have their own personalities and it give GL comics a better character "feel" which gives them life in BN
