Love DE been feeding it to dogs, using it in house on carpet for my son's allergies to dust-mites, and in yard for flea control.
LOVE this works great faithful to it for years-wear a mask when dusting with it...if you are just sprinkling it don't do so over your head it is an eye irritant too.

You have to use FOOD GRADE diatomaceous earth on and around your pets. Otherwise you could poison them and yourself.

It depends on the state. In NY where I have been an exterminator for twelve years, diatomaceous earth and drione dust can be applied directly to animals. Also, they are labeled for exterior/interior space treatment.

Wow, this is packed full of bad advice. If you read the label, it is for crack and crevice treatment to start with. Any other use of it is well just misuse of a pesticide. Natural yes, however the problem is when it is inhaled, because of the tiny particles of shells, it can get caugt in your lungs. As for rubbing on animals.. bad call

Trevor if we did what you are saying in Illinois, this would be an obvious misuse of a pesticicde.
Also, since when does a pest control technicain recommend what procedures a person should use on a pet to eliminate a pest problem? I'm happy to see your finally wearing gloves.

Diatomaceous earth contains the skeletal remains of plant-like creatures called diatoms.Very interesting when viewed under a microscope.
