This is my 2008 E-Zip Mountain Trailz electric bike I received on June 18, 2008. Immediately after receiving it, I started to customize it with better parts, whether for comfort, safety, or for higher top speed. In only a few short months, it's had 18 or 20 updates or upgrades from original. I'll be replacing the Currie battery pack with some high-end 20 Ah AGM batteries. They'll yield range far beyond anything the stock batteries could have gone and allow me to maintain top speed much longer. This electric bike has been one of the best purchases I've ever made and I couldn't be happier with it.

  • @haunter51662 Nice looking bike. I own an Ezip bike too but I have not done any mods on it yet. I am afraid to ride it in the rain because I heard they short out in the rain. You must have riden it in the rain since you mentioned the fenders prevent mud from getting on the frame.

  • Hi Pnkbong...I've actually been in a down-pour only once. It's is a good idea to keep the LED throttle linkage dry if possible, by perhaps covering it with some plastic wrap if you're going to be in a lot of rain. Also, add a small amount of silicon sealer where the main wiring goes into the electric motor. However, I really haven't heard of the electronics shorting out on the Ezip due to rain.

  • how much does it weigh?

  • My bike must weigh about 85 lbs now with all the extras I've added to it. But it works great and I love it.

  • @haunter51662 Hey, because of multiple good comments on the bike, including your comment, i got the bike, and I built it and rode it today. SOOOOO FUNNNN!!!! This bike is just FANTASTIC!!!! I cant wait for my roads to be not iced.

  • Hi Richy, are you still going strong with your eZip? I just bought one and want to change from SLA batteries to Lipos at 25.9 Volt ;-) Thanks for sharing and a Happy New Year! :-))

  • @BlackDragon4716 Hi BlackDragon...at 100 lbs, I'd say you should easily be able to hit 20+ MPH. On a bicycle, that's getting pretty fast.

  • @haunter51662 How fast do you think a 100 lbs person could go on this?

  • so how do you recharge the battery? pedal power or plugging it in.

  • Not to be rude or anything but this video has nothing to do with the title because you talk more about the attachments then the bike itself and thats why I can to this video to see the bike not the attachments.

  • How far will this bike get on 1 battery with pedal assist?

I commute 30 miles one way and i'm considering one of these with dual batteries.

  • I have a Mini 40 Mile Busettii bike and it runs 50-55 miles on one battery charge. I also tried my friends Vortex Mountain bike by Busettii. It ROCKS ! Can get up to 32 mph top speed, and on one charge that bike set the new record of 86 miles. Hope it becomes a big hit. In California many people like Busettii because they cost around $1700 but can go 50--86 miles on one charge depending on model. Maria in Cali

  • didnt know you could just use a 36v battery on a 24v system???
