Video demonstration of the TITAN amplifier :o

This one is a 200 watt model loaded with a pair of Sovtek KT88's.

Video starts with the amp plugged into a bogner uberkab and then at 1:40~ish, I switch to my splawn 4X12 with a pair of 100 watt scumback XH75-LHDC's and a pair of 125 watt earcandy greenmachines.

guitar used is a parker mojo fly with duncan pearly gates and alnico II pro neck pickups.

tc nova system was used in the fx loop for light reverb and some delay/chorus in video 2.

Video was captured with canon ZR800 with a sennheiser MD421 II plugged into it's external mic input and then a zoom H2 recorder captured audio as well. The 2 audio signals were both mixed together in sony vegas 8 and video effects were added.

for more info on this amp, check out

Also check out the harmony central amp forum and search for titan and you should find more reviews of this bad boy.

  • The tone on that amp Rocks, Is yours built to a shredders specs or are they all built that way. Your playing is right on brother. Nice to see someone who knows how to play for a change. \m/

  • @slimmetalpickin They're all this way. metal machines to the core.

  • Are you usung a Strat? Great tone by the way.

  • @locoed11 thanks. no its a parker mojo fly

  • There's a bit of ground "hum" on the higher gain settings.. any reflection on that?

Is it to live with or do one need a noisegate?

  • It's actually a really quiet amp compared to the splawn and my JTM45. I wasnt using a noise gate on this video though which as far as I know, most guys with high gain amps use. Only Engl's or Diezels are quieter but the Engl's have built in noise gates and who knows what $4000 witchcraft the Diezels have in them.

  • I hate creed. And I hate assholes that leave asshole comments.

  • lol i think it's pretty well established now that pedals usually suck if you are using that to generate your distortion and not just compress or tighten it up. Also scooping the mids doesn't always do a great job. If you scoop them too much it can sound really thin and frizzy. Mids are important, infact low mids is what generates the real umph in metal.
