A couple of hours' QRP DXing on a hot summer Sunday afternoon from Mordialloc Pier, 25km south of Melbourne. 5 watts SSB was used from a Yaesu FT-817.

DX contacts were made on 20, 17 and 15m. The antenna was 10m of wire on a 9m squid pole, fed with an L-match antenna coupler at the bottom. The pier was crowded so only a short counterpoise was used. But the salt water beneath would have helped.
