I saw Elton John on July 4th 1976 at the old outdoor Foxboro stadium. After a couple of last songs and thinking the show was over, me and my young wife left our seats to beat the crowd. When we got outside into the parking lot we saw more people outside listening to the show then there were inside. Suddenly there was a roar from the crowd and "Your Song" started. So me and my wife along with thousands of other couples slow danced to Elton live. It was very romantic and I will never forget it.

ya know i love metal, but jeez...my dads a pianist and i grew up with him playing and listing to Elton ALL DAY and i must say, they were some of the most enjoyable years of my life, every time i hear this song, i just go back to when i was young, good memories, profound lyrics...just the greatness that is Elton
