This was shot in Austin Texas. I believe the BFI/Allied yard is over in Del Valley.

great video, do you know when they empty the other 3 that would be a great angle also, any more of these coming? if so looking forward to them

don't know the exact time for the other 3, they are each serviced by different trucks and different companies.
I'll see about getting more, but its hard for me to have time from work to be here at the right time, and the last time I tried, I got run off by some "rent-a-cop" security before the truck came. Theres a big office building behind me, and I sure some overpaid exec didn't like the looks of someone lottering on the roof of his parking garage.

Yes, even a cheep camcorder is going to be better than this camera for video. This Olympus is great for still shots, but video just isn't its thing. I had bought it earlier for other things, so it was available.
If your buying a camcorder for this, try to find one with good night mode. As you well know, a lot of collections happen in the dark, and having a camcorder that can handle low light recording situations well would be an advantage.

Nicely done. What type of camera or camcorder are you using?

It was an Olympus 8080, its mostly a still shot camera, but it does have a movie mode thats passable. A real camcorder would have been better, but you can't tell with youtube's compression.
