Many of you might want to know the differences between cinematography and journalistic style of shooting, I purposely compiled a video which comprises of all the steadicam shots. The steadicam makes a lot of differences in the cinematography. I do not need to tell you how special and stunning the output is. This video tells everything. See the difference, feel the difference. • Steadicam is one thing but maybe you should at least try and keep the thing level with the ground in one axis a little bit more than only 1% of the time - you have the frame rolling all around the World! Watching this is a little too much like being on a damn boat or some kind of Disney ride, I was nauseated.

  • hahaha i knew you asian 2 seconds into the video... guess how i knew "YOU'RE" an asian before i read YOU'RE from malaysia

  • @shamsham1983 Cheapest full rig is about $5000. They go up from there all the way to around 50K.

You can get a small handheld version of the Steadicam (the "Merlin") for under $1000.

  • @shamsham1983 That depends on how much you want to spend, but more importantly, what your camera (and optional extra equipment on it) weights: a heavier camera needs a tougher rig.

Don't be surprised that a good rig is beyond 5000 euro and higher...

  • How much is a steady cam cost?

  • Great video illustrating the Steadicam! Good video production and sound track timing. Thank you for sharing.
