Hi, I like your explanation of the forehand. Thank you very much.

Finally! A video that actually explains this properly. Going to try this on the court next. Thanks for this!

The Video does a decent job in scratching the surface of topspin forehands. Overall I think Coach Kyril does a great job in teach the fundementals of a topspin forehand.

Hey Coach again,
What grip are you using in the video? Eastern, Western, Semi-Western?

@MUSCLEMASSHAMMERFEST I use an Eastern on my forehand.

Hey Coach,
I can almost hit shots like you are doing in the video, but I can choose between the grips. Which grip delivers more power on the ball; the Eastern Forehand? or the Western Forehand? Right now I with with the Semi-western Forehand. So I was just asking which grip shoots with the most power? I don't worry too much about the Topspin but it is still a prime factor. Please reply.

@MUSCLEMASSHAMMERFEST An Eastern will give you a LITTLE more power, as you are not hitting as far in front, but you will not get quite as much spin on the ball, and your accuracy will suffer a little. With a full western you will get a lot of spin, but not as much power or accuracy. Of the three common grips, the semi-western offers the greatest combination of power, spin and control, and that's why a majority of 5.0+ players, including most touring pros use the semi-western. Hope that helps!

hey coach does this apply for all forehand grips? i see you're using an eastern(?) ive got almost a western

Yup - it will work for any grip; for a Western,
you'll just have to make sure you get the racket head BELOW the ball. Then you'll be good to go:)
