@MasterOfAngle that may be for some states but not california which is where im from u have to smog the exhaust on ALL cars in this state unless its not street legal no matter what year removing the cat cause the engines fuel to run hotter and burn faster making it less likely to pass smog k?

Funny people are giving this comment the thumbs down when he's actually right about that.
With the way the RX7 was designed, if you add intake, downpipe, or exhaust to the car in it's stock form you run the risk of running too lean because of the increased flow through the system.
You'll end up running more than 12psi which is past what the stock FD can safely run. You'd probably have to change your fuel delivery or get some type of fuel management, or convert turbos to non-sequential.
-
well obviously you have never owned a rotary or else you would know not to do that because the turbo's will boost creep and make it run lean and kill your motor in a heart beat.
-
you still have the cat WHY huge pile i took mine out and made world of difference

No, there are no state inspections or emissions testing in FL.
There is NO uppipe...
Manifold to precat(downpipe replaces this) to cat (midpipe to replace this) and then the mufflers
