2008 American Rhythm Exhibit- Tony Dovolani & Elena Grinenko

America's Ballroom Challenge former top American Rhythm competitors (undefeated), performing an Exhibition Dance in 2008 to "Specially Composed Piece" by William Josepha.

Last year's American Rhythm Champions, Tony and Elena have decided to retire from performing. They are both very experienced dancers who have been friends for quite some time. Tony learned to folk dance as a young boy in Kosovo, and then fell in love with ballroom when he moved to the United States at age 15. Elena trained in ballet, folk and ballroom dance in Russia, before moving to America when she was 21. Tony and Elena have tremendous technique and dance highly creative routines. All their movements are well thought out, and Elena's footwork is exceptional. Both have won many titles with other partners. Elena has also danced on Broadway, while Tony has been a dance consultant for feature films.

DO you have the all dance after this with the 6 finalists. They were dancing to a song that I have been looking searching for over 38 years for. It is done to the first dance of the Cha Cha.  PLEASE if you can help it was on this episode. Thanks ANYONE

You won't find it. I don't know if anyone has told you this already, but Tony partnered with Inna Ivanenko at the time and Elena was with Maksim Chmerkovskiy (sp?).

It's funny how all 3 are on DWTS now. Inna should make the transition too. She's another great ballroom dancer.

I just loved these two as a pair! They are so amazing. What I wouldn't give to dance with Tony or learn from Elena!
