Playing (well, approximating) Pete Townshend's 1999 acoustic arrangement of his classic song. This video was made to let people know that my previous video, "Why Me Lord," was an April Fools Day prank. (You kinda had to be there.) The old man in the poster is Charles Darwin. The book replacing the Holy Bible is The End of Faith by Sam Harris.
Hey, nice one!

He can't help that orange juice ruins cars and oil makes them run well. God could.
Nor can we help the fact that we can't drink oil. God could, because everything is in his control, and is his invention, right?
How are you not getting it? The whole thing is 100% preposterous.

"God cares because He is a loving God."
I get that. Why?
"requires payment for sin."
Why? How is that loving? How is it loving to invent sin in the first place?
"Heaven requires perfection."
When we go to heaven, do we become perfect? Do we still have free will? If it's possible to have free will and also perfection (e.g. god himself) then why is there anything other than heaven?
"What happens when you put orange juice in your car engine"
Yeah, but Ford didn't invent that condition.

God cares because He is a loving God. He loves His creation and wants a relationship with His creation. Life is all about relationships-the best one being with God. God is also Just and requires payment for sin. We need forgiveness because we are not perfect. Heaven requires perfection. God made rules just like Mr. Ford made rules for his cars. The rule book says use oil in you car- What happens when you put orange juice in your car engine? About the same as if you drink motor oil.

If so, that IS a license to behave immorally.
"He chooses to forgive us"
Why does the idea of forgiveness even make sense in this context? If it's even possible for him to forgive anything that means he cares, or it hurts him in some way. Why? How? Isn't he supposed to not be subject to time? That just raises even further complications and paradoxes!
If we're only saved when we choose to "accept Christ" AND if God already knows whether or not we will, then in what way is it "free"?
