Kentucky is among a handful states that outlaws driving electric cars on many of its roads and highways. As Anne Sabatino reports, the heat is on state legislators as would be electric car manufacturers wait in the wings for a friendlier environment.
go zap i think they are moving in the right direction they dont have all the answers yet but who does its only a matter of time until wind electric cars equipped with solar panels that are completely self sufficient become the car of choice and i think atv,s that use very little gas an can do up to 75 mph should be allowed on our roadways they are like motor cycles with more stability

Interesting. I came upon this video doing a search for Zap electric cars. They just broke ground very near to where I live for a new plant. And where do I live, Kentucky.

You people should really get yourselves out of the 20th century fossil fuel age and get into the 21st century electric future.
I'm just glad we don't have such archaic laws in Europe like you do in the States and Canada.

I have no problem with the Zap Xebra and like vehicles being allowed on secondary roads rated at 35mph or below. But letting these golfcarts on our highways and interstates is just idiotic.
