Hello on this Tuesday, July 10, 2007. I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update.
Actress Anne Heche and her ex Coley Laffoon are now battling over furniture. According to court documents filed in Los Angeles, Laffoon says Heche has taken several items from the home that they shared...including a bed, rugs and a footstool. People magazine says he's asking the court to demand she return those items, and prevent her from taking anything else. Laffoon also alleges she took the buttons off of several of his shirts and pants. The two have been in a bitter divorce battle since February.
The Miss New Jersey runner-up is denying her involvement in a blackmail scheme. Ronica Licciardello, who's been the focus of investigations, says she never blackmailed the current crown holder Amy Polumbo. Two sets of private photos were sent to Polumbo, along with letters threatening to release the pictures publicly if she doesn't drop out of the Miss America Pageant next year. In an interview with "Inside Edition" the runner-up said the experience has been stressful for everyone and she hopes the issue gets resolved soon.
Singer Lionel Richie says he's not sure if he's going to be a grandpa. Reports have been swirling that his daughter Nicole and her boyfriend Joel Madden are expecting. Following a concert over the weekend, Lionel told People magazine if she is pregnant, he hasn't been informed yet. The singer also admitted he's been out of touch with Nicole and encouraged her to call him.
News anchor Katie Couric is admitting to having doubts about leaving her post at NBC. In an interview with New York magazine she says there are days when she questions her choice to leave the "Today Show" for the spot on "CBS Evening News." Couric also says she now realizes that viewers are very resistant to change and weren't ready for her to make the move.
