This is part one of a reading of the original tale 'The Happily Ever After', one of the stories in my anthology released 19th March ('08) through Lulu.com. The book is called 'Not All Of Them About Zombies' and features tales of fantasy, horror and comedy. You can buy it here: http://www.lulu.com/content/2049440

This story though, is a sequel, of sorts, to 'Little Redcape', better known as 'Little Red Riding Hood' in some parts.

You can see part two here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyHK2Lu1wuQ

I was motivated to write it when it became apparent to me that although fairy tales have a unique sense of wonder to them and really capture our imaginations, their messages were failing to make an impact in the modern world. It's my hope that this tale, while emulating the Brothers Grimm style, presents the same message as the original version in a way that today's readers can more easily absorb. Did you just sit and read all that? Poor you!

Here I blog, post readings, comic strips and offer advice to other writers while documenting my own career as it (hopefully) begins.

Here's the blurb, for those to motivationally disinclined to follow links and addresses:

'Ever wondered how Little Red Riding Hood would grow up
after her traumatic experience with the wolf? Ever wondered
how you might react when you wake up in someone else's
body? What happens when a man shares a night of passion
with a woman from his dreams and a neurotic comes face to
face with his fears personified?

The tales inside explore these concepts, and more, in the first
collection of short works by young British author Matthew Rowe.
It includes the short 'Don't Fear The Reaper', which won the
Dark Fiction's monthly horror competition.

Don't worry though, not all of them are about zombies.'

Thanks for listening.
