  • Hey, i am in NC, those guys typically breed between December and Feb and you can find the larvae from that point until around March maybe even into april here, not sure if its the same there but it should be close, make sure you are looking in the right place, sounds like a dumb thing to say but the habitat is very specific usually no deeper than 24 inches or so at the most (typically) and a vernal pool is usually lined with oak leaves, they help PH in the water be more beneficial for the larvae

  • what state do you live in? im in missouri and ive been searching for these FOREVER and can never even find the larvae. if it helps at all im in clay county
