US Adds 236K Jobs, Unemployment Falls to 7.7 Pct

A burst of hiring last month added 236,000 U.S. jobs and reduced the unemployment rate to 7.7 percent from 7.9 percent in January. The gains suggest that the economy can strengthen further despite higher taxes and government spending cuts. (March 8)

According to Federation for American Immigration Reform, an anti illegal Immigration group, illegals cost the US $11 billion a year. I think you cost would be the next cost of illegal immigration including support for there legal US children.

I have the BLS numbers saying the labor force dropped by 130K between January and February, but it is the combined effect of labor force drop and employed increase that caused a 0.2% decrease in the unemployment percent. For the 236K net gain in jobs it is slip like so, -10K government. 246K private. 67K in Goods-producing and 179K in serve, with the largest gain in healthcare. Hours worked when up 0.1hr/week and wages when up $3.7/week. Bad news?

There are several different numbers to look at in the BLS report. The number 236K is the number of additional people employed in February. Thought the number of unemployed in the US dropped by 300K, so clearly some people did drop off unemployment without getting a job. The % unemployed is not very meaningful by it's self from month to month because it is effected but other things like people no longer looking for work, which is really a bad thing.
