Canoeing and kayaking scenes from various rapids and races in the Manning River system, NSW, at low flow, over several days in early Autumn. Solo paddling, and tandem with kids. Boats include a Mad River Freedom Solo (wooden gunnels & deck), Mad River Legend 16RX, and Australis 2-Up. Helmet cam with a GoPro HD Helmet HERO, and bow cam with a Sanyo Xacti. All canoe paddles are home-made.
In this episode a paddle breaks, capsizes occur, a local yabby tries to scare off the paddling invaders, and butterflies swarm. Plus, we see how it looks for a canoe to be thrown over the shoulders of its master. It all ends peacefully round the camp fire.

Awesome video - and seeing it just reminds me that we really need to meet sometime for a paddle! I'm a good mate of Fat Paddler's and I've seen you in his vids before - my name is Travis and I own Paddle & Portage Canoes; importing Wenonah Canoes from the US as well as whitewater outfitting gear from Northwater. I'm always looking for other canoe fanatics to paddle with and it looks like you guys have some great times in open boats. Hope to catch up sometime.

Great vid, thank you for creating and posting it. I'm located in sydney and also have a MR Legend 16RX. I'm really impressed with your outfitting, are those harmony flotation bags? Can you recommend somewhere to get them in Australia?

@slyderrick @slyderrick Yes, the bags are Harmony, sourced from the US, and ordered through Priceusa. I'm not sure of anyone that sells them in Australia.
