Washington, Mo., fire, police and EMS crews along with St. John's Mercy Hospital first responders, hosted a "live" mock disaster preparedness drill. The exercise involved a simulated train derailment in Washington at the old sand plant near James W. Rennick Riverfront Park at Elbert Drive and Lafayette Street. The train was "supposedly" carrying toxic materials. "Victims" were rescued at the scene and transported to the hospital.
