The E10 Orchestra Model by Eastman provides clarity and mid-range punch that shines with a variety of playing styles especially fingerpicking. This acoustic is from Eastman's Traditional Series inspired by the great flattops of the Golden Era. The E10-OM has a strong voice with a comfortable feel and fingerpicking styles have plenty of nuance and volume. Thanks again to Jazz Guitarist Keith Ganz for his incredible playing. • Can an experienced player like Keith HEAR and FEEL the 3 or 4 thousand dollar difference between say, an Eastman E series OM and a Collings OM? Woods and materials being equal, is there any reason the work of a Chinese masterbuilder couldn't be the equal of the American masterbuilder in every way except pay scale? I'd really like to know if someone with experience playing quality guitars knows where that line is, and when it's been crossed.

  • @broknprism Good question! Chinese builders can be just as good or better than any American builder, but there are many factors that go into the pricing of guitars. Besides the difference in cost of labor, many American builders like Collings are often spending more money on materials and selecting the absolute best woods available. That being said, a more expensive guitar isn't always the better one, and Keith does actually own an Eastman and he uses it often with Harry Connick Jr. and others.

  • What beautiful playing. Some of the prettiest I've heard in a demo thus far.

  • @rootvalue Thanks so much!

  • Those Om gats sure do have a swing to’em.

  • @Jesseprit tonally, they are definitely very tough to argue with, for sure!
