Take a guess which of these countries have the "technology" you spoke of? Yeah, medical technology has only added 40 years to their lives, DOUBLING THEIR LIFESPAN. religion is Idiocy, Science is facts and research that saves lives and increases life, enormously. Atheism is a word meaning - requires proof! We don't believe in Santa Claus either.

LOL! Yeah, and before advanced medical technology, people lived to around 30-40 years of age. christians should always be watched closely, they have committed the most vile acts imaginable, they're self-righteous mentally ill clowns who believe in fiction and disregard reality. bush, a War Criminal and born again christian, murdered over 1.3 million innocent Iraqis, including over 200,000 children under 6 ...

@mccainisthrough Where are your stats from mccainisthrough? Before "technology hit" obesity and heart disease were almost non-existent, people didn't spend their lives watching t.v., and they didn't idolize dumb celebrities. There was no such thing as asthma until the industrial revolution hit, now we praise "progress" because its it gives us medicine to help subdue it. Atheism isn't revolutionary, and Christians have always (and will always) be persecuted against.. this isn't a new fade.

Terrific comment!

@teahouse100 Don't think about science trying to DISPROVE God so much. All Science has done has pointed us in a direction paved by reason and evidence. No, science can't disprove God, but when you use critical thinking, and acquire all the facts, we venture further away from the supernatural, and the likelihood of Gods existence gets smaller. Science has been wrong before too, at least people of science admit it, and move forward with a profound sense of rationality.
-
Science doesn't need to disprove anything, religions make the claims that they know everything, so it's up to them to prove it. Science makes no claims, it only presents evidence of reality. religions make HUGE claims, but offer nothing, ever. religions rely on telling stupid people to fear something they shouldn't. religion makes claims with no evidential support and tries to impose its absurd and primitive myth-born rules on others. religion is vile.

The Academy of Sciences is 96% Atheists and the Royal Society is 97% Atheists, of ALL TYPES of FIELDS. In 1950, before technology hit, they were 70% religious. No person with an IQ higher than 34 believes in "god," it's for the weak, the stupid and the mentally ill, period! christians are the worst of the lot. 66% of the US is christian, and 66% of US prisons are christians, BUT, 16% of the US is Atheist, and only POINT 1% of US prisons are Atheists. "god" sniffers are damaged.

Science doesn't disprove God's existence. Fine, so science deals with facts.. there is no FACT that God isn't real, it's your personal opinion. I certainly believe in God, he gives my life meaning, and I wouldn't want to live without that. I have a B.A. in philosophy and am working on my masters in architecture, so i'm not "stupid". Most of my family is christian including my cousin and sister who have degrees in Biological Sciences. I doubt that 97% are atheist... Check out John Lennox.
Wow... was that letter for real? seriously?
I always knew that Tony Blare was Bush's bitch but damn he's a freak'n monster.
Scientology teaches bankruptcy
There are so many things wrong with that letter...
"insult his tradition belief by trying to stop him from beating his wife...." ugh....

The mystical trend of our time, which shows itself particularly in the rampant growth of the so-called Theosophy and Spiritualism, is for me no more than a symptom of weakness and confusion. Since our inner experiences consist of reproductions, and combinations of sensory impressions, the concept of a soul without a body seem to me to be empty and devoid of meaning.
