I doubt he's going to last much longer in the senate. Both liberals and conservatives hate his guts. At least after 2012, we probably won't have to deal with him.

The Public Option is a Red Herring.
The Socialist-Regressives REAL plan is to Tax & Regulate the private insurers while subsidizing the Gov't Option until the Private Insurers are out of business and the Public Option is the ONLY option.
Then we can have the same high quality healthcare as the USSR and we dont have to worry about competition or choice!
