The Waste Land is a series of images. The poem can never be analysed, only dreamed. There are no answers, only interpretations. The world continues to be frightening. It's the darkness of the soul. Wonderful images!

Adorable! The girl I mean, not the poem. I just had another nightmare about the poem.

Great analysis. I would love to hear the same poem read by the analyst. The Latin was read with fluency. There are a number of recordings by TS Eliot. It would be refreshing to hear a contemporary presentation.

Y the hell would u make a video that's done MOSTLY in English, only 2 have certain parts read in another language? Sound quality to this vid is bad enough w/out the viewers having to both read & attempt to make out WTF's being said? There r several things wrong w/the structure/presentation of this piece, so much so that it's hard to gauge the mentality of the 1 who put it 2gether. It's just like an intelligent individual intentionally speaking in slang, it ruins presentation of what's being said

Great poem by Eliot "to b honest i infuenced with it and from his poetry I want get salvation through my own religion " the main point in it to sacrifice urself for humanity and try to get peace, one more thing he always refuses luxary living. So that is why I personally say "SIMPLE LIVING AND HIGH THINKING"

WWI changed the intellectual landscape. With the dawn of the century, everyone was optimistic - all kinds of new technologies were being invented, and life seemed on the up and up. Then a whole generation was lost to pointless slaughter in the trenches of France. This paradox of the times is still with us today - the potential of technology to improve life, but also the potential for its use to destroy life. "The Wasteland" explores the destructive aspects of human achievements.

I think it's more about the reader or audience looking for meaning in a place bereft of any. Looking to the past and to old traditions and values finds no place
