I wish this was around when I was young. I had to wear a ridgid brace that pretty much interfered with my young teen years, and I would sneak it off to go ice-skating and other things. I then had barbaric surgery at 25 years of age. They made me lie flat for 3 MONTHS!! Went through my chest and then my back, and couldn't even straighten it but one inch worth. I never had pain before, well maybe a little tiring that was helped with short rest, but now I'm middle aged and in pain all the time.

i dont know what kinds of scoliosis u had.
my friend had a functional scoliosis after traumatic event for 18 years but 2 visits to this Advanced biostructural correction doctor reduce scoliosis to almost none in 1 week. he didnt have any abnormality of vertebrae, when there is a torque in dura(structure that is protecting ur spinal cord) , by trauma(birth trauma, auto accident, periods of bad posture, to head, and cranial distortion, spine can go twisted to reduce stress on spinal cord.

im 14 and have been wearing the spinecor brace for almost 2 years! its great, comfortable, and i would definitely recommend it (: i started off with a 35 degree left lumbar curve and its been staying at 29 for almost a year with this brace

Is Spinecor really that effective? What about for adults? I am 22 years old male with thoracic scoliosis. Initially I didn't have any problem with scoliosis. Until it's getting worse. Now if i see myself in the mirror, i can notice that my right shoulder is slightly lower than my left shoulder. And it seems that there is a small bump on my upper right back.. n once i experience a month-long backpain... ;(

any thoughts on spinal fusion. An answer back would really help me decide which direction to go. Spinecor or Minimally invasive spinal fusion surgery. I have minor thoracic scoliosis. my spine is twisted. I have non stop back spasm at the same spot on the left side of my back.

@aralearachel Looking at this option for my 12 year old daughter who has a 27 curve. How has this worked for you?
I am a professional dancer and model. This would be too visible while I am working in certain costumes with extreme movement. I can't see the subtitles very well, so I'm sorry if I missed it, but how long does this thing need to be worn each day? I'm sure I could wear it to rehearse, but if I'm doing 2 shows/day, 6 days/week, does this give me enough time to wear the Spinecore treatment? I'd love to hear anyone's experiences.

well...if you are an adult then it's a different story. You don't nearly wear it as long as those who are still growing.

the brace...... you must have it 24h at a day. i was operated only 1 month ago my deformasion was 40 and 60 degre......now is my deformation only 0 and 30 degre when the doctor says the best way is to operate then believ me hes right i fell perfekt after the operation and doing excercices dosent remowe the problem excercices only help to fell better after the operation you fell stronger and you hell faster.

It's important to follow your doctors order..but they are not always accurate..that's why you need second and 3rd opinion. A lot of Spinecor patients were recommended surgery prior to treatment spinecor, then later didn't need surgery becacuse they improved. If you look at their original study, it included those who were above 45 degrees, or in surgical zone...

i say stick to the rigid brace. this is just a lazy way for kids not to wear the rigid brace simply because they cant handle it but i am.

That's no way to respond just because you can't get one. Latest study comparing the rigid and spinecor with same criteria which was published on pediatric orthopedic journal found rigid was 20-30% successful versus 96% with Spinecor. Rigid braces are just as effective as not wearing one...
