That was an excellent question, Mark. I just went outside and popped my old caliper brake right on to the springer. It has a hole drilled directly below the headpost, and the brake lines up perfect with a 26 inch rim. It also appears to be disk brake ready. You will probably have to attach the brake before hooking the springer to the axle, but it should be no sweat. Thanks for that question, I'm going to put my brake on tonight!

Bikeworldusa is the cheapest place I've seen to get a pair of steel rims. 55 bucks a set. I bought one at my local store for 40 bucks, just for the rear one. They use the one inch threaded tube, so it's easy to find parts. I would suggest a front brake, easier to install. I'm pretty sure that the springer is brake ready, holes already there:) Happy riding!

Holding up pretty sweet! We went ahead and replaced the stock alloy rims with some heavy duty steel jobs, me with the nomorflats inner tubes. For a hundred dollars or less, these bikes really are nice.
HA! That's cool..
Nice Job.
