Too bad they don't have that on the passenger windows. No more waiting for all the idiots who cram the isles while trying to retrieve their items from the overhead and all, just pop your window throw your rope ladder out and exit the aircraft.

@stephqaz In flight, passengers are not allowed into the cockpit. If you are a part of the airline: FA, pilot, etc. you are given permission to sit in the jump seat. Those Continental Pilots aren't following practice code, I mean a passenger using the FMC? And he is 17? Taxi to the runway? That doesn't sound really true, for age 17, and he isn't even a pilot.

@AirCanada04 hold on a sec if this is true (and im not saying ur wrong) then could u possibly explain to me how my friend at age 17 just a few months ago was allowed into the cockpit of a continental 737 AND was allowed to use the FMC, taxi to the runway and basically was in the cockpit till they landed in honduras from new york?? (he has the pictures to prove it too and trust me when i say, he cant photo-shop a picture) (we are both pilots in training btw)

@Hunsranee25 the cockpit window is the emergency exit for pilots, say for example if there is a fire and they can not evacuate through the cockpit door. That's what the drill is for.
