i understand your observation about no one in the states really appreciating what those of us who've lived in japan truly experienced. it was a rare privilege. at least through youtube, facebook, etc. those of us who did the journey can share that bond. would've been awesome to chill with you and your tomodachis in yoyogi, zushi or karuizawa... wherever. good times paul. good times.
