in this I Am Angus segment, we hear the amazing story of W.A. McHenry, an Iowa pioneer, who raised Earl Marshall, perhaps the greatest beef bull ever. For more information, visit www.angus.org.
Earl Marshall was the mating of a grandaughter and a grandson. It may be that there are other pictures of the bull in old catalogs of Escher and Ryan if anyone has these please add to these comments.
The picture of Earl Marshall is the only verified existing picture of the bull this is verified by the testimony of Wayne Lacock herdsman and Charles Escher junior the 2and owner of the bull. The picture was taken at the age of 12 years in service condition Earl Marshall lived to be almost 15 .
