Goodness the old one is SOOO much better than the new one. I liked the new design on the Kraken, but the reason I loved the original was mostly how close it follows the Greek myths about Perseus. The new one skewed that out of the picture and just made it more of an action film that what is should be about: Magic, wonder, and appreciation of where some our best stories come from.

@mrssoonerchick This is NOT Cerberus. Cerberus has THREE heads, NOT two. Also, he is the guardian of Hades/Hell. He doesn't come up to the surface... you have to go down to Hades to find him. He only came up to the surface, by force... in other words by Hercules.

Better than most CG! Harryhausen's two headed dog is incredible! It moves realistically. While it isn't 100 percent lifelike, neither is computer-animaition.

2010 version sucks compared to this one. They only brought bad changes to the scenario and too much special effects. 81 version was far more epic and had a touch of mystery and darkness. I love the scene when the giant vulture lands on the terrace by night. Some say the stop-motion cheesy aspect ruins everything but I think it is much cooler than fucking 3D. Only the scorpios fight was cool in the newest version (except that ridiculous part when Perseus bursts out of the scorpio - "ha ha").
