Cake Boss S01E02: A Fire, A Fashionista, and Family part 2

Buddy and his team learn that where there's smoke, there's fire when they have to build a fire engine cake complete with working lights, siren and smoke. They also have to create a 30th birthday cake for two trendy fashionistas. This week also marks the 15th anniversary of Buddy's father's death so emotions are high as he recreates his father's trademark cake for the family memorial dinner.

When I was a kid, we always spent our Sundays at my grandmother's house (dad's mom) along with the whole family. We have a very big Mexican family so you can imagine the amount of food she had to make. We laughed, argued, played and they were the best of times. It was heart breaking to watch my grandmother mourn at the loss of her oldest child. They were very close.

I'm crying right now while they are watching the video of his dad. I know how he feels since we lost our dad way too early, this past October 2011. I want to hear his voice again. I want to hug him tight and tell him I love him one last time. I remember how we always joked around and how he made us laugh. All 3 of us were daddy's little girls. He was the best father. We miss you Pops. Te quiero y te extraño mucho, papi. I'm happy he is with Jesus and in his glorified body, free of the cancer.
