Fighting Gems #17: Jojo's Bizzare Adventure - Heritage for the Future

But to be honest, I had no reason to avoid covering the game, other than my own lack of skill. So I shirked all of my responsibilities, trained for a few days and came up with this. Was it worth it?

Eh, not really.

Pros:
- Interesting setting and characters
- Features a solid fighting engine
- Good spritework
- Features a unique mechanic that effectively doubles the movelists of most characters

Cons:
- Some characters are stupidly strong; some special characters are...weird
- There IS a definitive tier list, and you WILL feel the painful differences when maining a low-tier character
- Kakyoin. Just...Kakyoin. Although the poor guy deserves it.

I didn't know about the Polnareff special, that's frickin' amazing. I'm surprised you didn't mention The World. It's definitely a one of a kind super in fighting game history, and even cooler how you could move around in frozen time if you could use the World as well_^)

It's the most popular super move in the game (well, that and ROAD ROLLA DA), but it just sort of slipped my mind. It is a pretty massive spoiler, though, so not mentioning it in detail was actually a good thing, in retrospect. Useless, but good.

It's a spoiler, so don't read past this part if you're planning to read Part 5.

Basically, Polnareff's Level 3 is a reference to how he died in Golden Wind; he got taken out with that weird Bow and Arrow, and Silver Chariot evolved into Silver Chariot Requiem when he died. It also went out of control and went crazy.

So it's funny because Silver Chariot gets hit instead and just makes the opponent sleep. But at the same time, that's how he dies. :(

but the thing is he doesnt die instead he get transfered into the body of the turtle traveling with Gio's crew and yeah I finished pt 5

this game looks legit! too bad for all the bugs and silly easy infinites.. id still like to give it a go.. cant get any worse than the fist of the north star fighting game.. which was supposed to be also horribly broken *shrugs* good to see these obscure cool ass games

Being a Capcom fighting game i find it kinda wierd that this game doesn't have the 6-button layout unlike the other fighting games Capcom made.
