SSO Golden Giveback: Instrument Petting Zoo - Montage

The SSO is in the middle of celebrating its 50th Anniversary season. As a gift to the community we have been spreading the joy of music with people all over CNY. Today, the SSO shares Recycling Winds with you in partnership with the Rosamond Gifford Zoo.

The SSO's Wind Quintet II presents "Recycling Winds;" a fun and engaging program for children and families that connects science, music and conservation. Members of the ensemble use items that might be found in any household recycling bin or trash container (e.g. newspaper, empty bottles, drinking straws, etc.) to create an oboe sound out of a straw or a horn sound out of a long garden hose!
