@addictedtothe80s You are indeed right. I submitted this error to TV.com. The footage of Crockett in the car was shot during season three, but spliced in for this early season four episode. They used a lot of stock footage of both the Daytona and Testarossa throughout the series. It was just more economical to shoot a bunch of footage at one time, and recycle it in multiple episodes. Still, not sure why they couldn't get Don to drive around in the car for five minutes to help continuity.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling I've heard a song that sounds very similar to this, also by a British band. I can't remember the title or the words, but just the basic tune - which, again, is a lot like this one. More specifically, the way they say "I'm waiting on the edge of town" sounded very similar to this other song, except "of town" would have gone down in pitch instead of up. Can anybody help me?

@PingWoe Yes, I meant "Shadow in the Dark" - I'm getting Hitchcock confused with Vice! Yikes! and yes the shot is great

Do you mean 'Shadow in the Dark'? Cause there is no episode called 'Shadow of a Doubt,' as far as I know. It would explain the shot where Crockett looks directly into the camera - I've always liked that shot.

to clarify the hair length dicrepancy: the uploader as far as I can tell has not spliced any footage. In the original episode the song ending when the testarossa sped off. That entire driving sequence was actuallty lifted from 'Shadow of a Doubt' from season three in 1986, when Don Johnson sported short hair. When they reused the sequence for 'Death and the Lady', Don Johnson grew his hair out again, so the difference was quite noticable (and honestly rather sloppy for such an exquisite show).
His hair is a different length in the car then the episode.

@Abbassog all the clips are 100% from that episode!

@addictedtothe80s No they are not. Abbassog is right. In the car, when he turns his head, his hair is shorter. Also, some shots of the car were used in other episodes... get your facts straight buddy

@ChampDooda well i don't know why is this such a big deal. but you should watch the hole episode and you'll see that his hair is long through the hole episode, short in the car, and then long again at the end when he arrives at the house. so its not my fault they reused the car shots probably from some other episode. so i am saying again, all the clips i used for this video are from that episode. watch it and you'll see!
