Everybody feels good when showing off their emotions, it is a trully relief, be they bad or happy/good. Sometimes when you do something you get to feel likewise for the moment but after things are getting complicated...stress solves a lot of problems sometimes. Marketing, economists, society says always: Smile, it could have been worse or smile, you'll get over it. The truth is that just a smile or a good thought that is not coming from the heart is equal to 0.

@whitecatzland Then smile in private. He's not talking about faking emotions to others. He's talking about releasing endorphins which happens when you smile. If you don't feel comfortable "showing off emotions" then don't. In fact, Dr. Wiseman has a video where he did an experiment showing moods going up after they put a pen horizontally in their mouth (forcing the shape of a smile). I can't find it, but I think it was part of his People Watchers TV show.

Hey sometimes smilling can only be a mask and it's so fake and untrue, it only hides realy big problems. How can you smile when you know things aren't good. Yah, I know you have 2 stay optimisc in order to solve you problems but still, smilling won't help you too much. for me when i smile fakely i get more depressed after....not beeing real is bad! showing off emotions that you don't feel kills something inside you.
lol woulda been cool if he actually smiled in this video
