http://cmestudio.wordpress.com/ This video screenshot is a demonstration of a 3D game (education + action) produced using the Mission Maker software. If you would like to play this game or the other game I produced, you can download the games and the MissionPlayer software (freeware) here: http://longzijun.wordpress.com/works/isgames/

I must point out, however, that there are tons of limitations and quite a few bugs. If you are thinking about getting this programme, you should read this article first: http://longzijun.wordpress.com/2010/06/21/missionmaker-tips-part-1-crash/

MissionMaker is a game engine that allows you to produce your own 3D computer games. You don't need any programming knowledge. Unfortunately, it is very buggy and does not work well with Vista and especially Windows 97. No upgrades, patches or fixes have been released.

This game uses an Old West setting, but there are a few other types of landscapes available. Basically, when producing the game you create a maze, put in props and characters and establish rules (e.g., "If Alien 1 sees Player, Alien 1 seeks and destroys Player").

MissionMaker is produced by Immersive Education: www.immersiveeducation.com/MissionMaker/

The two games were produced to help Form 2 (Grade 8) students in Hong Kong review terms related to electricty.

The circuit board screenshots were made using Virtual Labs: Electricity (a freeware programme available at http://web.riverdeep.net/).The background music was composed on Sonar Home Studio using loops with some parts added using keyboards. The opening and closing screens are based on clip art designs.

  • This is shit and difficult software to work with. There are so many glitches! Rating: 2.5

  • @Hw123321 Yes, I agree. Lots of bugs, lots of limitations. It does not seem compatible with Windows 7 and the company has never released any patches or updates.. It was the first game engine software in which you could make 3D first-person games without programming knowledge, so it is special in that way. Now there is FPS creator, however. That software looks much more promising.

  • link doesnt work :(

  • @MrRojinx Hi. I fixed the link in the annotations leading to the new game walkthrough. Are there any other links that are broken? If it is the download link for the games, that probably means the school server was down temporarily. Thanks for commenting and let me know if there still link problems.

  • where do i get this for free please send message back!

  • @GreendudeDJK The link for the downloading the game is in the description box, but I don't know where you can find a free version of missionmaker--the software for producing the game. That is fairly expensive - 400 USD - and it is buggy and hasn't been updated since it was released in 2006. You better try it out before buying it. If you can't find a cracked version anywhere, you can try asking your school to get a copy (it is considered educational software).

  • givin sub to anyone who can tell me how u make your own missions or 2 subz if it works well =)

  • After working with MissionMaker in Windows XP, Vista7 and Windows 7, I think I will have to go along with Hidden Trojan's criticism. Unless you are working with Windows XP or Windows 2000 (and don't plan on upgrading), the game engine is simply too buggy to work with. I defended the game in the past, but there are just too many problems.

  • i go on this software at school and i hacked into one of my games and pixelist it

  • @coolguy12391 Hi, yeah, there is no way to save a game. The software for making the game has lots of limitations and that is one of them. You can see HiddenTrojans comment on this page about some of the others. So why even use the software if it so limited and buggy? I think it is probably the only way for someone without programming knowledge or animations skills to produce a 1st-person action game.
