just to be clear, when i said cut away the extra tape, i meant the tape that goes outside of the square of the flash...

If you don't have a hotshoe flash mount on your camera, take scotch tape and put around 10 layers over your on camera flash. Put each layer on one at a time. Then take an exacto knife and cut away the extra tape around the flash. Finally take one piece of scotch tape and put it over all the other layers so that the edge of all that tape is smoothened out & covered. Cheers!
