If any of you think that being a guitarist is about being the "best", you really don't understand. Being a guitarist is about making music, plain and simple. If your music is slightly more difficult to play, then that's just your style. But it's still, at it's core, about making the music. ( Unless you are Malmsteen....arrogant jerk-off)

@negrois just cause you were there doesnt mean you dont know what clean playing is lol. You probably think they are good in this video when in fact they arent playing the songs perfectly lol

Its really embarassing when you cant even play the songs YOU yourself compossed :P

Paul Gilbert, Galneryus, Takayoshi Ohmura and may more are examples of real guitarists. Dragonforce are partying lazy wanabe's who spend years in a studio making albums they cant play on stage perfectly lol.

@negrois Listen, the songs they played here were CLEAN on the album.. here it is NOT clean its very choppy.. just because you hear notes and it sounds alright doesnt mean clean.

Honestly listen to fury of the storm then listen to this there is a difference.. but its ok. XD we all have different standards of clean playing. For me clean is playing the song as it was composed without mistake (Like Galneryus live) and some like dragonforce live with scratachy sloppy playing :P btw i do play =)

yea man your deff. right. most DF fans dont know most of their songs not on IR. i was part of the fan base since they were known as Dragonheart.

Yeah, all I was really saying is that some of Dragonforce's fans can really be a pain in the ass. If you got into their music because you liked their album(s), then yes, you're in the "old" fanbase. If you got into their music because you thought it sounded too complicated to even exist, then I'm afraid the answer is no.

But yes there are definitely many (MANY) better musicians than Herman Li...

I definitely agree with you by the way. Dragonforce is my favorite band, but i would never say that Herman Li is the best guitarist. I mean I have only been playing for a year and I can play almost all of Through the Fire and Flames on guitar(not any good). He writes good songs but he is not a virtuoso, like Malmsteen or Paul Gilbert.
