Yeah, Weller is in there near the beginning. He plays a young Joe Le Fors (the distant "antagonist in the white skimmer" from the Newman/Redford film).
"The Early Days" is a good movie. Always chokes me up when Butch takes leave of his youngest son, Sam. That little boy looks like his heart is truly breaking.

I always thought that Tom Berenger does have a striking resemblence to Robert Redford . I want to see this movie .. can anyone confirm that Peter Weller is in this movie ? I am a big fan of his and I wonder how big is his role in this movie. Thanks for uploading !!

Weller's role is small--he plays a young Joe Le Fors (the later, distant antagonist in the "white skimmer" from the Newman/Redford film).
Berenger got his break here, in part, because he looked like a young Paul Newman.
This is lighthearted romp, although it has a tear-jerking moment or two as well. Always chokes me up when Butch takes leave of his youngest son Sam--the boy looks like his heart is truly breaking....
