I kinda have the same problem only worse... it takes about 1-2 minutes to boot the first time. Turns out my CPU (Pentium D 820) is not one of the supported CPUs. Tried all the BIOS upgrades out there, but I stopped carring as long as it works in the end.

i had same problem.i solved it by upgrading my bios.
use bios upgrader software provided by asus it will surely solve this problem
my specs.

ASUS Core 2 Duo 2.33 ghz 4mb cache.
Kingston 2gb.

the problem is your cpu..Or No good fan on the cpu..i have the same motherboard but it not goooog:(
