Sure.

The same gays say that mormon men shouldn't be allowed to marry many women (liberal hypocrisy of stopping love right?) but want to marry men with other men.

I love liberal hypocrisy. You call one out and the rest fall like flies. (ON SHIT)

You are calling me a hypocrite on totally false grounds. I'm neither gay nor do I speak out against polygamy. You're attacking a straw man.

whitenubian, I made a comment about how Mormons actually have no business in endorsing Prop 8 because of their history of oppression. I then made an analogy between Utah influencing California politics & how odd or inappropriate it'd be for California to influence Utah's politics.

You're response was totally impertinent

How is calling my a "bigot" not vilifying me? No matter how you word it, sir or ma'am, there's no hiding the fact that you categorized me with the general image of evil that opposes your side and it's viewpoint.

And as for this gay marriage business: I have no side, I could care less what happens. I'm just annoyed that people crowd Mcallister street and fuck up traffic, when it was CA voters that passed 8. Obviously the majority of SF voted no, so, why people protest HERE is beyond me.

Why did we protest there? Because that particular intersection is only a block away from the California State Supreme Court, and we were protesting their ruling.

A better question might be why did you even bother taking that route to class on a day when you knew that the court would be making a decision on gay marriage in a city with a huge gay population. You really didn't speculate that something like this might happen? This is San Francisco after all.

San Francisco has many streets. This intersection is plenty easy to go around. You can take those other streets. You know, they're "separate, but equal" to this one.

Don't like it when somebody dictates to you what street you can drive on? Imagine what it must be like when they tell you who you can and can't marry. Suck it up. You were late to class, but you're fine and dandy with all of your rights intact. More than I can say for gays.

I don't support gay marriage because I see no need for it. Under section 297 of the California Family Code, it states people under domestic partnerships have rights, benefits, and responsibilities as married couples. So, there really is no need for this and it just seems a bit greedy of gays to demand it.

That, and demonizing me and calling me a bigot is just plain bullshit. You Liberals aren't very liberal if you have no problem vilifying someone, just because they don't agree with you.

I'm not vilifying you. I'm pointing out two extremes, and telling you where you fall into my category of "I'm sorry I ruined your morning" to "I really don't give a shit that I ruined your morning." Ultimately, your response that you support civil unions is a very safe response that indicates to me you aren't willing to take any risks. First of all, domestic partnerships are not the same as marriage. And I'm an anarchist, not a liberal.

In California, couples seeking domestic partnership must live at the same residence. That isn't true for married couples. To become domestic partners, you have to be over 18, whereas you can get married with parental consent if you're under 18, married couples can get confidential marriage (no witness required), domestic partners can't. Married couples that are state employees are also eligible certain long term insurance plans that domestic partners aren't.

Finally, married partners are required by law to have their marriage recognized throughout the union. Domestic partners do not. Now, you are so upset that you were late to class, yet you think that gays are greedy because they want the same rights that you and I have? You missed the scene on the steps of the Supreme Court just a few minutes before you got stuck in traffic when many of them broke down in tears because the law, and you, think that they don't deserve to be considered truly human.
