  • Was taht a widescreen at 0:18? I never knew widescreen's existed back in the late 80s for the typical consumers living room.

  • I don't know about the "typical" consumers living room, but they did exist.

  • Who is the OCM at :25-:29?

  • yep they did have them in the 80's the picture quality was really bad though. the image on the screen always casted a rainbow sort of shadow around it. the screen also felt rough like a holagraph. it's possible that they had a smaller screen behind it which was magnified.

  • What an opening to the commercial!

  • You don't know what I'm doing at night. Can you see us viewers right through the TV screen or hear us if we talk back to the TV? LOL

  • @twcclassics Very funny.

  • I was thinking the same thing. I dont remember seeing widescreen tv's in the 80 or even 90's. I only remember seeing them in store like bestbuy starting around 2000. Due to the poor picture quality im guessing that was a real tv but they could have built a fake tv and used blue screen to fake and immage. Time to go google and investigate early widescreens!

  • Oh you have no idea what im doing at night! :D
