@sword4thelord Maybe I didn't express the word "conservatism" in proper context, because what I'm actually expressing is more akin to Originalism, not the political label of mainstream conservatism and its party affiliation. @smo699 No... you are in error. The philosophy of freedom transcends and surpasses ALL political ideologies and labels that we seek to attribute to ourselves and our nations (left AND right). You can't plant a flag on it & you can't monopolise or lay claim to it... and should you seek to do so... you cheapen everything it means. Everyone on the left & right values freedom. The trouble is to our shame, we also value selfishness... politics cannot remedy this, merely seek to manage it.
