Red Mars

This film was a fake TV commercial for a fictional toy line that I had to create for a second-year university project. It was based on a background story of an alternate universe where the Soviet Union never fell, but instead colonized Mars and held the Earth hostage with 10,000 nuclear warheads. The film told the story of the main character, a futuristic Green Beret fighting for democracy, who went up against the entire Red Army to free Earth.

It was written as a parody against the over-zealous American mentality to overthrow communism. The project drips with overblown characters and philosophies, propaganda posters and "gung-ho" sentiment, all integrated into the guise of a commercial for a line of children's toys.

Nice one, great and original premise. I'd give them at least an A- if I was their teacher AT THE VERY LEAST. 4/5 good job =p
