Trying to get back into it...

Hi everyone, I literally haven't recorded anything in a long long time and haven't played properly in the same too, so I thought today I'd record a few small sections of some songs that I could which isn't much anymore and I had a hard time playing what I did, hence the mistakes...fast vibrato, weak bends etc

Once I get the Ibanez restrung with 9's I'm hoping it'll be alot easier to get back to where I was and possibly even progress. Here I played some material from Steve Vai, Sylosis, Sinergy & Paul Gilbert.

@DerCorny Bravo! That saves me doing it if anyone asks :D I couldn't think of anything else to play so I literally brushed up on the Vai stuff last minute, Teras is bloody difficult to pick and the Sin Trade was the easiest riff out of them all haha.

You're still pretty good Mitch! I moved abroad half a year ago and didn't take any of my guitars with me. I played an electric recently and made a fool of myself: took me awhile to remember how I used to hold my pick (no joke). Of course, my hands and fingers have gotten super slow and all the coordination between the hands is gone too :(

@UrosR Uros I feel your pain, I've been playing the last few weeks just gradually trying because I was the same. I could play a few chords but that was about it, can't pick as fast anymore, might have to get into some Slayer again!? I work nights so I can't be bothered to play during the day, makes it even worse.

I never thought you cared about that either, it'd be fucking ridiculous to get an object just because another couple has the exact same pair, hahaha... But rather because of the object itself. I chose that example in my earlier comment just as a comparison and am not sure where I was going with it anymore, but, yeah.

I'm never going to get a tattoo but if I did, it'd be a scythe, the reaper or that same snake.

@apalmalarrain I'm not being rude towards either of you but my views are, I couldn't give a flying fuck what it means to Alexi or kim, I've always thought it looked awesome and still do, so I went and got it. COB are the only band I still love as much as the past and Laiho will always be an idol for playing. It's got nothing to do with being dedicated or anything, it's a visual thing for me, it could mean I hope everyone burn in hell for all I cared and I'd still have got it.

They're supposedly still close friends, but you wouldn't want to have a permanent mark reminding you of that, right?

Well, the tattoo is there with not much to do about it but, you know, you really want it at one time and as @MitchD21 said, you only live once. I disagree literally, but you have to enjoy your stay in earth :D

@MitchD21 @MitchD21 Yeah, it may make you feel dedicated and tr00 but what happens when you get bored of them? What if for some reason you start hating them? What if Alexi spat in your face and kicked you in the leg?

You wouldn't really want a permanent mark on your [hand] reminding you of that forever. You have cd's, t-shirts, videos for that kind of stuff.
