@ienjoymodels Forgot to mention, James' left elbow was broken in 5 places last summer and they put 10 pins into it. So he does have problems bending it. Thanks again.

@ienjoymodels Thanks for your comments. Some versions of Goju use a lower hiki-te position than others. The high chamber is mostly used by the Japanese Goju groups. I agree about the striking points of the punches. The big thing that day was the nerves. The board that examined them were from yon-dan to Ku dan, all legitimate ranks from various Japanese/Okinawan kai ha.

I remember doing this kata many times. Full tension with buki breathing, stance sanchindachi with legs and feet screwed into the floor. What was hard was not only the instructors checking our solid stance and tension but they would also pull funy faces to try and make us laugh as we were supposed to be so focused ont the kata as to ignore them. Yes and those mawashi's at the end. Its all good.
