"Battle of Maxia" - Picard Manoeuvre. Surprise attack on USS Stargazer by unknown vessel.
A back-story for events described in the season one Star Trek TNG episode "The Battle".
There's a spelling mistake in the title as it said "batte" not battle! How I missed that I do not know...

  • @VideoSpaceFX, I am not trying to give you crap. It's just that the manoeuvre wouldn't been cooler if the captain hadn't lost the ship.

  • @djmarkski2000

Yes the damage seemed light even in the episode "The Battle". Maybe it was radiation or something. They stated the ship suffered considerable internal fire damage. Maybe someone left the grill on during the battle? :)

  • Picard Manoeuvre = abandon ship?

What you're saying applies to within the Federation, or in particular the society on Earth, life on a far flung colony would probably be a little tougher. If the Federation expands through colonisation of suitable planets or other races joining, why wouldn't other powers consider that threatening, even if it's not. It's not like they were expanding by occupation or annexation.

  • Say, I wonder what happened to the Stargazer after the TNG episode "The Battle". Except for the fire damage, it was in fairly good condition.

  • @JWA8402

I'm sure the shuttles had buckets or something to pinch one off in. :D

Jeez, though, just imagine not showering for seven weeks. Plus, they must have had wicked gas from eating all those Starfleet rations. o_o

  • nice vid. I just wonder why the ships are so short. But its still cool

  • how did i get from mlp to this?

  • @VideoSpaceFX Yes, maybe it was "Indoor Camping Night" aboard the Stargazer, and the campfires got away from them...maybe that's why Picard was so grumpy later on whenever he remembered the court-martial...:-P

  • NCC-BOB...I love it. Picard or any competent captain would never leave their ship abandoned in a hostile system; they would set self destruct. Seven weeks in a shuttle though...Those things don't even have bathrooms!

  • Picard: Fire phasers and six torpedoes at the other ship

Tactical Officer: Captain don't you think that's a little excessive?

    Picard: No one.....messes with Picard.

  • oh my god they were attacked by a giant throat lozenge! (i'm kidding the video is great)

  • The attacking 'unknown' vessel.

    Is that not a Ferengi-vessel?

Is one of the episode's of TNG will picard get this ship 'back' from the Ferengi.

  • I thought the Stargazer had that LSD effect when it went to warp?
