HD Fractal Zoom 2^518.4

Whew, it's been a long time since I've done one of these! I finally bought Fractal eXtreme, it's a great program.

Computation took 55 hours on my new Intel Q8200 2.33Ghz Quad Core (and the software fully utilises multi-core machines).

The magnification factor between the first and last frames is 2^518.4, or 1.132 x 10 ^ 156. However, using the metric that I used when describing my old fractal zooms, the ratio of the areas (rather than by lengths), the ratio is 2^1036.8 or 1.282 x 10 ^ 312.

How long does it take you to find a good point to zoom in on? Or is the program that you use one of the ones that decides every few frames which direction to zoom in based upon complexity, boundary presence etc?

Hmmm, I dunno, fractal exploration is a pretty casual thing for me really, I might spend 20 minutes looking around for something like this.
